A Loss to Santa Anita

May 26, 2009

I got to know Diane only somewhat recently, while popping in on the stewards at Santa Anita and then learning to know what she had been going through personally. And I would see Diane and Jordan in town in Sierra Madre and always give a wave. She was graceful, stoic and strong throughout her ordeal. We have lost a member of our family here at Santa Anita. Enjoy the Winner's Circle up there.

We loved and supported Diane through every facet of this crazy illness. Just know that she loved her family and friends so very much that she didn't want to worry anyone....doesn't that sound like our Di? May she rest in peace and be reunited with her loved ones that passed before her. xoxoxo
