You will be missed |
June 10, 2009 |
We only knew Diane for a short time, but she enriched our lives with her brilliant mind, gracious ways, sharp personality and her caring soul. Diane where are you when I need help trying to write? You can fix this and give me your corrections when we meet again. We send our condolences to all of those who knew and loved Diane.

I have known our dear Lady Di since she was in her 20's, the evening of the Academy Awards where we met in the middle of downtown and decided to out-wait the traffic by going to that Irish Bar down the steps. We talked about our fateful experiences with MG's (a little English sports car which never runs but looks beautiful). And then we drove to our respective homes, you to Pasadena, me to Silver Lake; nobody thought much about drinking an driving in those days!
Years after that you shared your home with me for almost two years on San Vincente Boulevard. And, later we both left our dreary office jobs for the unknown - you to your deepest love to horses, and me to the world of massage. All that time you kept in touch with me, all over the country you went and you kept all of your friends in your beautiful heart.
I still cannot believe you have left us, I love you so much and I know you knew me well; sensitive enough to know, even in your own fight, why I was such a wimp. My brave, big hearted, silly, stubborn dear Di. I will always love, respect and admire you.
To everyone who is missing you, we were so lucky to have had you in our lives.

Hard to find the words... |
June 8, 2009 |
It is so hard to find the words - I remember when Diane's mom and sister passed away and trying to help Diane through those tough times...she was a great friend and I know she will be missed by so many! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you - Gina, I know how much you and the boys meant to her and I wish you all peace at this very difficult time! My thoughts will be with you this weekend.

To Diane's family and many friends, my sincere condolences on your/our shared loss of Diane too soon. From the days many years back at Carlson Travel, to Santa Monica, Marina del Rey / Venice, a fun summer as roommates in Glendale and beyond... I treasured and valued Diane's friendship. I told her more than once how much I admired her for her guts , tenacity and for following her passions. She never seemed happier than when she was doing what she loved or when she was with the people - to include 'little people', Jordan - that she cared for the most. With moves and travel for both of us, there were a few goodbyes over the years but... she really got me on this one. If Diane were here, I'd tell her I'm giving her that one - and respecting her for it since I thinking or at least hoping that's the way she wanted it. I count myself as one of the lucky ones to have known her. She'll be sincerely missed.

I knew you for just a brief time but it was a pleasure to work with and be in the presence of such a warm and courageous soul. I will always have fond memories of you and Jordan each morning as I arrived and you will be truly missed. Diane, may you be at peace!

Family & Friends of Diane,
I am so glad that you were all there for Diane, and I am so sorry for the loss that you are all feeling, Can't even imagine how hard it must be for those of you who were closest to her, and those that were there for her when she needed you most (even though she wouldn't always tell you she needed you). Diane always shared with me about how much you all meant to her, and I know she appreciated you all so much. She always shared how much she loved all her friends, & family, and was so proud of all of her nieces & nephews. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for any of you.
Love, Noelle (aka Jen)

I only knew Diane for a few short years but we became fast friends. She made the job so much fun. I will miss her terribly as will all of the people in the racing end of HP and SA. There still are so many funny "racing" stories I wanted to share with her. When I see her in heaven some day we will both have alot to laugh about! Rest easy. Till we meet again, your friend always Karen D XXOO
